Inspired by the changing seasons, Field of Dreams features a fall color palette using acrylic paint. I started by adding a geometric shape to the background to create more contrast without overwhelming Rovandio’s unique, minimalistic brushstrokes.

I have tentatively named this piece Field of Dreams because it reminds me of a beautiful corn field at the end of the fall season. Of course I also grew up watching the inspiring movie Field of Dreams and that connects deeply with my soul. I do believe in the ‘build it and they will come’ mentality but more in a ‘believe it and it will come true’. What I have accomplished with my horses was once a dream, an inspired thought in my head that, over time, became reality. Never give up on your dreams!

If someone had told me at that young age I would be painting with horses I think I would have been speechless. One of my driving motivations is to impress the inner child within me. I try to do things that would blow her mind, inspire her to reach for her dreams, no matter how many obstacles were in her path. I hope that Rovandio’s artwork inspires you to incorporate more imagination and magic into your daily life.
